Hi, I'm Alexandra, a registered architect, designer, and project manager with over 10 years of experience delivering architecture, interiors, and experiential environments across the US, Europe, and beyond.

Spatial Roots

I began my professional career as an architect.

I bring over 10 years of architectural experience: from retail interiors, to mixed-use multi-family developments, to public works and education projects. I hold a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. I am also a licensed and registered architect in the State of Washington and the Netherlands.

Artistic Exploration

I dabble in painting, sculpture, and digital art. I have a love of texture and ephemerality.

My work encompasses the mapping of a journey through a city in bronze casts of walking surfaces, the poetry of erasure in Detroit, among other fleeting experiences.

Who am I?

Prior to starting my own company, I led complex, multidisciplinary projects from early concept through construction completion, working across residential, mixed-use, retail, workplace, and public sectors. My work has spanned 3 continents, totaling over $300M in built value, including collaborations with Forbes listed companies and a stint at the LEGO Group designing product experiences for a global audience.

Through my independent practice Alexandra Ziemba Architecture and Design (also known as Alexandra Ziemba Design), I currently partner with architecture and design firms globally on project management, consultant coordination, BIM documentation, and workflow improvement - helping teams deliver better work more efficiently.

I firmly believe in the power of design and technology to improve lives. Therefore, I am always experimenting and learning new things in the hopes of making helpful and delightful experiences for others.

In my free time I find peace in movement as an avid hiker and marathon runner.
